Route plan with Google Map / Earth, need tech savvy help

You didn't state your cities but I just picked Worcester, Mass to Rapid City, SD. For 138 miles difference rather than taking I-90 all the way you could take a more scenic way.

Go to Buffalo NY, Hamilton, Ontario and 402 into Michigan; I-94 to Michigan I-69 at Flint, MI then I-475 to I-75 north to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Then pick up Hwy 2 west across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan into Wisconsin then 35/41 south to Appleton, Wisconsin picking up Hwy 10/49/21 west to I-90 to South Dakota.
