Route question, Alturas Ca to Bend Or
Just curious as to routing... When we left The Likely Place this morning we just automatically set out Garmin to Bend and took our normal route through K. Falls and 97... Our Garmin kept wanting to ...

I wish I knew how to copy a quote by I don't or I would.
I did not mean that it is 100 miles further if you travel through Klamath Falls, I meant that you would travel 100 miles more on hwy 97 than you would if you traveled through Lakeview to hwy hwy 31 to La Pine.
Hwy 97 is a good road it just has a lot of traffic on it where hwy 395 and hwy 31 have very little traffic.
I think the mileage from Alturas, Ca to K-Falls (but not thru Lakeview to K-Falls) is maybe 10 miles farther taking 395 to 31 to 97 @ La Pine then to Bend.
Hwy 31 is rough but it is still better than most the roads in the Yukon Territory and some in Alaska - just my opinion.
