Does anybody have route suggestions from north central Mass. To Richmond Virginia. I would like to avoid Connecticut 84 and the horrible Treck across the tapanzee bridge followed by the NJ tpk and Ga...

That would be my suggestion as well given the constraints listed, I-90 to I-88 to I-81.
other than this route....84 in Ct isn't that bad...take 84 to exit 1 in Pa..then take 209 thru Milford,NJ to 80 for cpl exits to 33 south to 78 to 81 in Pa.....stay on 81 to 66 in Va for 25 miles to rt 17 thru Warrenton to 95 ,just above Richmond...Chuck
