Routes from Lubbock TX to North Platte NE
PLanning a trip from Lubbock Tx to North Platte NE via Dodge City Kansas. Never been in this part of Oklahoma or Kansas. Anyone have any experience traveling or recommendations with any of the roads...

There is just a darn neat little campground, right beside US 83, north of Wellington, Texas alongside the Salt Fork of the Red River.
It is within a section of US 83 that is four lane. Hard to miss, cross the river and turn left (going north bound).
AFAIK it is a county run facility, pay on the honor system sort of place. But reasonable charges, neat scenery, and a good overnight stop on your way.
I'd sure stay there again.
