Traveling across Montana in late August and need some imput on campgrounds across the state. Will be on rt.2 Thanks.

US 2 is a great way to travel to Glacier NP and we've done it all the way from Duluth. I'm trying to remember campgrounds and am not coming up with too much. There is a very nice USACE one at Fort Peck; big and not full with elec. Then there are a few private ones and possibly we stayed at a fairground campground somewhere along 2 which was OK. So, yes there are some but I would take a directory and plan ahead a little.
