- CloudDriverExplorerA couple of years ago we picked up route 30 at Greensburg heading east to NJ. Everything was OK until we got to Laurel Mountain, which was a steep climb using lower gear with a couple of sharp curves. I recall stopping at the top to take a break. More up and down further east and we were happy to get back onto the PA Turnpike at Breezewood.

here is a link to view low clearance on roads in every state - gboppExplorerThe road is decent and I don't know of any overpass problems.
However, west of Chambersburg you get into the mountains and there are some fairly steep grades.
If you go that route, stop and see the Flight 93 Memorial, it's along Rt 30.
