As for my original request there has not been much response. But as for the last reply I was going to just forget about this forum. But I decided the readers should not be subjected to ill informed information If you enter Mexico on a a tourist visa you have 180 days for yourselve and your veheicle. If you have a Temporary Residencia whether it is 1,2,3 or 4 year permit your vehicle is the same. YOU DO NOT GO BACK EVERY 6 MONTHS.
As for the health system the IMSS is a government and employer insured hospital system which can deny ANYONE from using their hospitals.
President Fox initiated the Seguro Popular which is the universal medical system in Mexico and is avalible to everyone rich or poor and we pay a premium based on ability to pay.Which we certianly don't mind eventhough we the wife and I are gaood health it is good to have some back up ,back home we pay too. A very interesting story about the start of Saguro Popular our leaders should read it too.
As for the comment of being leaches on the Mexican system DUH
Rather then spending $2000.00 or more each way to go back to the land of ice and snow, I prefer to spend it here. We travel by car to various places stay in hotels eat in resturaunts by gas or travel in the coach.
We haverecently had our couch , j couch and captian chairs all recovered did I ask how much yes the price was great did i hagger not at all the price was great the work exceptional and Fernado and his family will get a good christmas bonus.
The Mexican people are good people , enough said.
