395 is a great road to travel. There is the ghost town Bodie and the WWII Japanese internment camp at Manzanar. Mono Lake is an interesting sight. Bishop has Schat's bakery, a place worth a stop by itself if you are tempted by exquisite baked goods (and has an RV park directly behind it!). I have to assume you are talking about next season so you might want to go as early in spring as possible to see Death Valley. With any luck, Scotty's Castle will have reopened by next year. DO NOT visit DV in summer. It WILL NOT be fun. Fishing is good at Topaz Lake. Be wary about the passes that go west from 395 into central CA. Some are NOT RV friendly. Inquire locally!
