Winter road closures in Yellowstone are messing with route recommendations within the park. Pick a couple of points in the park, and see how the routes jump all over the place. It currently thinks you can't drive into the park from the west - which is probably true. But to be consistent is should block most of the other roads in the park as well. Look carefully, it shows a lot of 'road closed' red circles.
For travel in the park, use information from the park itself, not google maps (check back in the late spring.).
Fishing bridge is centrally located. If you want to see the GT first, approach from the south. If you want to shop or otherwise take advantage of the facilities in WY, approach from the west. Don't go around the park - unless the park web site tells you certain roads are closed.
