I have heard my fellow Canadians for the past year or so say that these despicable acts would not happen in Canada. That we are somehow different and protected from these radicalized crazies.
I have always said it was only a matter of time before this happened and I am truly sad to see it happen two times in 3 days in our country.
Hopefully more people will now realize we are not immune to these events and will be more observant and diligent in reporting situations of this behaviour to police.
My prayers and thoughts go out to the family of the slain soldiers and to our military personnel across the country.
