Safety while stopping overnight to get some sleep

I've read about folks stopping overnight at Cracker Barrels, Walmart, rest areas, truck stops, etc. to get some sleep before continuing on their journey. Which of these would be the safest and most s...

I usually park for the night anywhere I feel safe, if I have any strange feelings about the area I'm in, I look for another spot. Sometimes, I will scout a place to stop for the night, but generally I just park and go to sleep.
