San Diego to Santa Barbara - Best way thru/around LA
Looking for best/easiest route thu/around Los Angeles. Coming from San Diego, heading to Santa Barbara. 34' MH with toad. Didn't have much luck with a search. Probably there, couldn't find it.

Maybe there were closures yesterday and maybe there will be some tomorrow.
Isn't that the point? Why direct someone up a road that has been closed on and off for weeks and weeks without notice; it's got a lousy track record lately. While its nice to look at the CalTrans site, the reality is that this road has been a big problem lately, and you should know that having lived here.
