Not exactly that road, but one road over - Lake Hughes Road from Antelope Valley to Castaic Lake. Wowsies! I felt like I had left the known world as the road twisted and wound through apparently uninhabited mountains for miles. Nice adventure. Road mostly in good condition when I was there last month. Steep on the Castaic Lake end; perhaps your road will be also. I'll bet that these roads attract biker and sports car groups on weekend, so keep that in mind.
