Seattle to Vermont in December

Gpt to do it, want to spend Christmas with the kiddos so what route would you suggest, would I 84 to I 80 be better than just taking I 90 across?
Coming back in Jan won't be an issue as we have tons of time so will just aim for Texas and take the southern route

    Either I-80 or I-90 will be okay, but as 2oldman said, might run into weather in some areas.
    Try to call ahead for campground reservations, as many will be closed in December. Most will have no water hookups, but all you really need is electrical.
    Good luck on your trip. That's a pretty time of the year to travel.

    Hard to tell if you're towing, but it sounds like a trip I wouldn't tackle. You're likely to have snow and ice all the way.
