The scenic route sounds good but it's best to do it with the rig sitting in the campground. I really learned this after going to South Carolina last year. We went to a place called stump house which is an old tunnel and historic site. They dont have any signs at the road warning that it's extremely tight in there. I couldn't imagine going in there with much other than a C or TC. I ended up staying at Cherry Hill state park and explored from there and found that most of the stuff was like that.
One size does not fit all but I'm getting were I travel the E way to get there and then we will explore. I also watch for semi trucks all the time. If they are in front of me, all is fine. Well....you know what I mean.
Same with fuel, truck stop is always easy, even at the car pumps.
Yes, mabynack, I know what you mean. People are probably also surprised when they see the combine turn off and the fifth wheel kick it up to 70 as fast as they can.
