If you have lots of time to spare, you could always go further west and north and head up to I-476 / I-81 / I-88 / I-87 and go east across US4 and / or US2. It would be maybe 150 miles and a few hours longer, but pretty and fairly free of major traffic congestion once you get past Scranton. I think the only tolls would be crossing the Delaware River.
