Southern Colorado Hwy 160 east to west
We'll be heading back home to AZ this summer after a trip to Colorado Springs and are considering taking Co hwy 160 west from I-25 to Durango for a more scenic route than I-40 west. Any info on Hwy 1...

Except that the runaway ramps are for commercial vehicles only. And don't park in front of one as I have seen! :E
I assure you if I was in a run away condition I would take one of the ramps and worry about who they were intended for later. Much better than the alternatives which include into the side of a rock cliff, or worse off the side of a long drop.
