What GM failed to mention is that the metric speeds make no sense because we still use 60 minute clocks.
You can go a mile a minute, but you can't figure out how long it will take to drive 120kms by dividing by minutes. The government should have required that hours be 100 "new minutes" to go with the new speeds.
When they brought in metric, the hardware store in our small town was proud to advertise their new "metric yardsticks" So the whole thing has been a farce from the beginning :)
Meanwhile something weird has happened with shoe sizes lately! Who is running this place?
