  • Scenic or fast, which part of Wisconsin? I55 probably the easiest and quickest. I39 from central/western WI to I55 or however you get around Chicago from eastern WI to I55.

We've also gone US 67 from Quad Cities and US 61 from Dubuque (Platteville) both OK and more scenic, but it's been a few years.

If you're staying at the Jellystone in Eureka, I find it easier to go through town and out I44 if it ISN'T rush hour.

  • Stay away from down town on the East St.Louis side. Major construction with lane and sometimes complete road closure. Especially over weekends. St. Louis side should be okay. Also 270 west bond on the Illinois has a lot of construction. Like someone above said 55 to 255 to 44 is the best route
  • I think wadcutter has the best answer. But there again, best not during rush hour, especially southbound on 44.
  • You are going to have quite the drive to get to the ball park. Casino Queen is just on the other side in East St. Louis and they provide a free shuttle to the game. Not much for kids to do there although there is a playground. Lots of security and it felt very safe.
