My rule is "states in which I've slept overnight at least once in my RV."

I include all states that we actually visited. Some we did not camp in, like Rhode Island. I lived in Connecticut so RI was just a visit. I often changed planes in Minneapolis-St.Paul and did not include that until we spent time there. We visited 5 museums and attractions in Kansas and I included that before we spent a night there. (Don't miss the Steamboat Arabia in KC).

Steamboat Arabia in KC is not in Kansas. And there is talk of moving it to the Jeff city area, to have room for the other boats they have found.

That'll be easy, just float it down the river.

3. States I've visited.
4. States I've fueled up in.

Choice is yours. We try to spend at least 6 weeks in each state. 2 in the northern part, 2 in the middle and 2 in the southern. This allows us ample time to really visit and see everything that state offers. Ca and Tx are exceptions. This applies to mostly western states as some of the smaller states can be done in much less time. But, really the choice is yours. We've seen people pull up, jump out of their car, take a picture of the Grand Canyon and drive off. IMO that is not visiting nor actually enjoying what is offered. Hike down to Supai village, swim behind the waterfalls, enjoy life.....Dennis

Who owns an RV and has not visited most of the states and Canada?
I visited the Lower 48 by 1975. Alaska and Hawaii took a little longer.
Who has a map of the world on the back of their camper?

Fill them all in, consider it places you plan to visit/camp. ;)
