- VeebyesExplorer II"There is NO cellular service on the Cassiar Highway. None." Isn't that great!
We are telling friends that between mid May & mid June don't even think about trying to call us. Try Skype & be aware of the 4 or 5 hour time difference.
Looking forward to the isolation. - Medicine_Man1ExplorerWill Verizon cell phones work in Canada?
- garyhauptExplorerThere is cel service and wifi, if you park by the totems, in Kitwanga. Plus, the Kitwagna Cafe 'had' wifi...I can't say about this spring.
There is wifi in Stewert at the wee corner grocery. The 'key' is posted on the chalkboard.
The grocery in Dease has wifi, but you'll need to buy something to get the 'key'.
Gary Haupt - SueDaveExplorerThank you all.
- lizzieExplorerWe have a Verizon MIFI for internet. Had good service at Bear River RV Park in Steward BC which isn't really on the Cassiar but was a side trip.
- AKSuperDuallyExplorerWe turn the phones off in canada to save money. data and calls in canada are expensive on your plan....most rv parks have wifi, somewhere. The place in watson lake is very good. The one at the base of the cassiar is rough, and spotty.
- RvpapaExplorerThere is/was a small campground about five or so klicks north of Dease Lake on the West side. Check the Milepost. He actually has free limited WIFI during the day, until he shuts down his generator in the evenings. It is very slow but good for emails.

There is cellular service in Watson Lake on the Alaska Highway near the north end of the Cassiar.
On Hwy 16 at the south end of the Cassiar, there is at bit of service at New Hazelton. And Smithers has good cell service.
I see sue.t beat me to it. This girl is good.
Dave - crosscheckExplorer IIThere is cell coverage in the main towns and surrounding area on Hwy#16, and a little bit in Hazleton. After that, unless things have changed in the last few years, nothing on the Cassiar until the Alcan.
Dave - sue_tExplorerHere's a link that shows areas with cellular service.
