Stolen Jeep thread closed. Thanks moderator. sincerely.

I was about to send a note to the moderator suggesting that he close that thread. It had gone W A Y past it's intent and I am no longer getting any help for a very stressful situation. Many of the posters have in fact been adding to the stress.

I did glean some nuggets of useful and helpful advice from the gravel, and I hope RVers currently in the area or planning to drive there got some useful information.

That thread has just gone beyond stupid. If this one goes the same way, well the moderator can shut it down any time or let it run to let the goofs have somewhere to spew and keep them off other threads. I'm not going to read any replies to it in any case.
  • LOL, I hadn't looked at the other thread since it was over 1 page, so just went and read the entire thread. Yes, it went south, but that was brought on by a couple of folks that travel in Mexico and can't bear to hear one bad word. I, as a retired LEO want to congratulate you on responding in a very appropriate manner, whether you were in Mexico, Canada or the US. all the bravado stuff will get you killed, especially when you have a gun stuck in your face. Your Jeep can be replaced, your life can not. Please keep us posted on the final outcome.
  • I hear ya- I didn't post there myself, just followed because I was interested in the outcome with insurance, etc. Which I think I got a fair understanding of- thanks. Hope it works out to your satisfaction!

Per this thread, though...I'd be happy to request thread closure right now on the grounds that it took so much popcorn to get through the last one that I must have gained thirty pounds. ;)
