Dedmiston went and did it this weekend, per his facebook page broke his Tibia Friday in the desert. Get well soon Dave, bummer to get hurt so early in the desert riding season. Guess you'll be driving the lawn chair at future campouts.

Once he got into his '60s these things started happening, didnt he burn his ring finger off last month?

Although I would love to go back to dual sport and ride like I did 30 years ago, I know errors will take much longer to heal than in the past. With heavy traffic and distracted drivers, I have even considered giving up my sport tour bike.They say "with age comes a cage" and I'm beginning to agree with that. I hope Dave heals up quickly to ride again.

I've done almost the exact same thing. Stepping on the wood in a firepit (while on fire) to show the kids it's not stable. It was but the rock I stepped on coming out broke my ankle. Scared the kids straight though :)

You are not alone and it's not even an unusual event!

Well I glad you OK! Something stupid I did instead of staking my matt when I rolled it out in front of my toy hauler door. I put out four big rocks. Well that night the dog had to go pee and I didn't even turn on a light Duh.. and I kick one of those F'n rocks in my flip flops and lost my big toe nail.

I went the cage route and also kept my bike. While fun not as fun with my son on the bike and me in the Rhino. So I sold the Rhino and the bike and went to a KTM 300 2T.

Think you should start bringing pine out for your firewood Dave.

Be much easier for us to whittle splints, braces, and a pair of crutches. Also easier on your teeth should you fall down in convulsions and we have to shove a piece in there.
