285 to 85 north to 441 north to Franklin NC and follow 441 across the mountains. Your biggest headache will be 285 and 85 in the metro-Atlanta area. Just take your time and allow those behind you to pass by using the pull-offs in the park. Gatlinburg bypass (4 lane) will take you into Pigeon Forge where it opens out to several lanes (of heavy traffic)
