You 'could' take it with your RV but you'll find many narrow winding areas. Plus, there are many places to explore along the way which would give you a big parking space.
I really think you'd enjoy it more if you just took your towed vehicle. That's what we've done.
We stayed at Santa Fe Skies which was great for touring the area.
There's also the Enchanted Circle drive which is very nice and taking you higher in elevation. You could stay in Eagle Nest for this. Taos Monte Bello is a basic RV park but it has big open sites and is a good base for Taos and the Enchanted Circle. Driving through town is quite an experience.
