Taking the High Road from Santa Fe to Taos
Can we travel this road in a 45' MH + tow car (about 65')? any places to stop in a MH? It is always nice to take scenic roads in the MH when possible.. but not sure of the condition of this road...

We drove NM-518 from Las Vegas to Taos about two years ago. Though we were not pulling the trailer then, I would not hesitate to drive that route in either direction with my current 62' total length rig.
It is a lot of elevation change, so fuel mileage will be very poor.
There was some construction on the section between Penasco and Ranchos de Taos. There were a number of places to pull over and look at the views that would work for our rig.
When I make such a drive, I really like to look at in on Google Maps/Earth and get a feel for how the drive will be.
