The "High Road to Taos" is one of our favorite drives: Cheymayo, Trampas, Truchas, Penasco. (My spelling may be far from correct, but I know these villages and the road very well.)
But, we have never taken our RV over this road. We stay at either Santa Fe (Santa Fe Skies RV) or Taos (Taos Valley RV) and drive, in our case, without our trailer.
In Taos, I suggest a visit to Kit Carson Museum, Michael's Kitchen, and the Martinez hacienda. Parking with an RV in Taos has often been a problem even when we were just passing through.
