OK Grey Mountain. To keep your English Bride Happy.
Take 281 south out of Wichita Falls. Not too far south take Hwy16 to the right. This is before you get to Jacksboro.
This will take you down thru Graham then Mineral Wells.
You will then go thru Ranger the home town of James and the REVERAND(Betty) which you will see in Kerrville. Stay on 16 down to
Fredericksburg then on to Kerrville. We have taken the mules on this
road several times. Nice easy drive. No mountains to climb. I think
it is a little flater than 281. Not as much traffic as on 281.
Several places to stay on the way down.
If you do not want to go thru the scenic towns of Graham and Ranger
hwy 16 from I 20 down to Ferericksburg is a nice ride.
Enjoy the trip. Have fun in Kerrville.
