We like going because we spend quite a bit of time on the water in our kayaks exploring. It's the only place I've been with such abundant sea life - we've kayaked with pods of dolphins - some breaching it seems just to show off, whale sharks right up next to us, seals and seal lions, amazing colorful fish - like kayaking on top of a giant aquarium and we can launch any place without fees and permits and usually we are totally by ourselves. It's the only place I've been like that with so much life in the ocean and it takes my breath away - underwater if you like to snorkel or dive, it's a magnificent garden of coral, urchins, starfish, trumpet fish, etc.
The road trip down the Baja is amazing with plant and animal life you won't see in the US.
It's not necessarily that it's better - it's just different and I always learn a little more about my own country when I look at it from the outside.
