I guess we will have to beat the CC charges to death again. All but a few banks or credit unions charge a foreign transaction fee every time you use your CC. Most do not show the fee. It is built into the exchange rate. Usually 2 or 3%. Some merchants have their own charges as well. Some Mexican airlines charge $5.00 to use a non Mexican CC. Costco and Sam's have a fee to use any CC. In some large markets merchants charge almost 10% to use any CC. Maybe we should start a separate thread and list the ones that do not charge fees. We could include both US and Canadian CC's. When it comes to CC usage in Mexico I am a Luddite.
