folks who are contemplating going to Baja realize it is not the mainland and really are more concerned with the specific information for that location
My comments mostly had to do with using a credit card and being charged an "international fee" which I believe you would find whether you are on the mainland or Baja. You are out of the US and if you have such a card you may be charged fees. So checking with your financial institution is my suggestion and applies to anyone going just about anywhere. I have no idea why some are charged fees and some are not. Makes no sense to me. But I do think if someone is going to be charged a fee on their card in Mexico they are going to get charged in Baja as well.
