Thousand Trails Idyllwild - Coming from North Orange County

Hi all,

I am going to Thousand Trails Idyllwild this weekend. This is our first time driving to this place. How is the road condition? It appears that Highway 73 then North 243 is the best bet. We have 24 feet class C. Here is the map

Thanks
  • Hello!

I happen to live a few houses from Thousand Trails Idyllwild. The roads are all in good condition; we have regular RV traffic.

Highway 74 to 243 is fine. Coming from North Orange County, you could also consider driving the 91 to 60 (which merges onto the 10), exit at the 243 South.

    Happy travels!

    Glenn
  • I would assume you are aware of the long, steep climb up into Idyllwild from the north or east. There are some fantastic views dropping back down to the lowlands though.
