Thunder Bay to Winnipeg

I live in Thunder Bay, I would recommend a visit to Fort William Historical park, it is the best in Canada. Kakabeka Falls is a good stop as well, lots of water going over the falls right now. Take Hwy 11 as it has less traffic and transports to deal with than Hwy 17. Then take Hwy 71 after a little town of Emo, this Hwy has beautiful scenery. The town of Kenora on the shores of the Lake of the Woods is very pretty in the summer.
