The above suggestions about Quetico and the other former PP's on 11 are good. We generally do a "speed run" on 17 between TB and the "Peg" but Sandbar Lake PP just north of Ignace is a nice stop, There also is Davy lake campground in Ignace for a short overnighter.
Vermilion Bay west of Dryden has a very nice private park right on a lake with full services and great facilities for kids, we spend a few days each year with the grand kids there.

We stay at Travelers RV just off the Trans Canada in east Winnipeg before we head to Riding Mountain national Park, it's a great place but it's busy after July 1, hard to get a full service site in town.
