To Chimacum from Woodland Washington

My maps program has us going 5 North to 16/3 into Chimicum.

Trying to avoid big city traffic, but don't want to go too many hours out of the way.

5 to 12/8 then 108 onto 101 and around appears more scenic and less traffic. Will be traveling on a Saturday in 40' Motorhome with toad.

Anyone done that route in a big rig? How are those roads with all the damage up there from the Winter storms?
