Today on I-75 South of Atlanta

Question

We just arrived at our NC home after traveling north on I-75 from Adel to Canton, GA. Heads up to those traveling southbound. The traffic was a totally stopped parking lot from Stockbridge to Jackson at 1:30 to 2:30 this afternoon. The problem appeared to be road construction. We had this same experience six weeks ago when we went south. Northbound was no picnic either but at least we kept moving. We have to return to FL on Monday but will be taking an alternate route. lizzie

That area is ALWAYS a mess. I keep hoping it'll get better when the construction is finished, but it keeps not finishing.

I think it is just the area.... back in the spring traffic was horrible in that area when I went through.  FYI, if you can go I85 Southbound and go further west, traffic isn't nearly as bad

I traveled south on I75 starting at Tifton, GA yesterday.  From Tifton to Adel law enforcement was thick enough to walk on.  Don't speed if they are out today.  And don't speed anyway please.

X2 on the law enforcement presence.....all the way through Atlanta. It would have been tough to speed on southbound though. lizzie

I came through there south bound this past Tuesday at 60+ mph, BUT it was at 10 PM. Yes, there was plenty of construction in that area.  I was impressed with how smooth 75 is currently all the way to Florida and this was the only area of construction south of Atlanta. I only saw one sheriff around Adel and very few RVs all the way to WPB. Granted most of GA was done at night.
