Toll highway web sites I have looked at specify tolls based on number of axles, 4 in your case.

That is correct, 4 axles. However, they consider it two vehicles, and it is.

How you are charged varies from one highway to another. Some give you 2 tickets. Others charge you for a 4 axle vehicle. I gave up trying to figure it out. Just pay and go! I might add that if your bus is a duallie you get charged for 3 axles.

I'll be pulling a small enclosed single axle trailer behind a Dodge Durango on the way out next year. Tried to figure out how they would charge me when we were coming down. No luck, I'll do as Moisheh said, and what we have done in the past-just pay it and enjoy the ride!

Rule of thumb is double your projected fuel cost and you will not have much left over after the tolls and actual fuel cost.
