Tolls by Tulsa

If you are planning for traveling I-44 from Missouri to Oklahoma City, I seem to remember it being $11.00 from state line to Tulsa (Will Rogers turnpike) and another $11.00 from Tulsa to OKC (Turner turnpike. And another $12.00 or so if you go all the way to Wichita Falls, TX. That would be for towing a two axle trailer. Toll calculators are available on-line by googling Oklahoma toll roads.

You could go south on US 69 at Big Cabin to avoid much of the tolls.

Thx. That's what I found, but heard from others that it might be twice that. I don't like tolls, but want to keep time and distance down during that portion of the trip if possible.

Yeah, I hate tolls also. But hate longer slower roundabout bypasses thru small towns on small highways trying to avoid tolls. Not that much money in the grand scheme of things.

Toll for 4 axles paying cash = $32.75. It looks like OK has turned every interstate highway into a turnpike thus the only way around the tolls is to route yourself on US highways. See https://www.pikepass.com/toll/AllTollRates.aspx

OK did not turn interstates into turnpikes. The state built turnpikes that became interstates!

Plenty of other, free highways one can drive instead, but they go thru towns and have lower speed limits. You get to choose. ;)

I stand corrected.

In 2016 we paid $32 for 5 axles going OK City to the MO border.

Last May, AGAINST ADVICE NOT TO I took 69 South at Big Cabin going to Grapevine TX.

You are 100% correct about 69. It is even worse north of Big Cabin in my opinion.
