Tolls by Tulsa
Please tell me it isn't true... coming from MO to TX on 44 and I hear it's gonna cost me 40 + $ in tolls.

- When you hit OKC spend the money for the tolls for the John Kilpatrick Turnpike.
- Rolla to Amarillo you would pay tolls state line to Tulsa and Tulsa to OKC. West of OKC I 40 is not a toll road.
- We're seeing my old Air Force buddy in Rolla, MO, then headed for Amrillo and eventually on to AZ. Sounds like I need to stick to better roads. We've been to Bentonville before, came up from Fort Smith, might be a better routh, though a bit out of our way. Toll roads are sounding better all the time.

If you are talking 125 from Missouri and across the Peel ferry, I would not do that with any sort of camper. It is a great motorcycle route but not for an RV.
From Bentonville area you can take I-540 or 71 south to I-40. 71 is pretty hilly and crooked.

- Turn left at Big Cabin. Lots of trucks use it all the time. Mostly fair road but a few towns to go through. Mind you speed in towns as every local LEO is generating revenue.
- You are 100% correct about 69. It is even worse north of Big Cabin in my opinion.

Last May, AGAINST ADVICE NOT TO I took 69 South at Big Cabin going to Grapevine TX.
