In the finger lakes I expect to be towing on rt 20 and down along Seneca, not sure which side on the way to Watkins Glen.
We are just under 12 ft.
6 of one, half dozen of the other... I would take RT 20 into Waterloo and then just before Geneva, go left on 96a to 414. That takes you down the east side. Or go into Geneva and take 14 down the west side. I like the ride on the east side, but it really doesn't matter much.
We were at Sampson St Park on the east side last weekend to check out the Tin Can Tourist Rally - 50+ vintage campers and a lot of interesting characters. Pretty cool. Sampson also has a really nice milatary museum that documents the history of the Navy and Air Force training centers that were there before it was a park. They only ask for $1 admission - very worth it if you have time, And we hit out 2 favorite wineries - Lamoreaux Landing and Chateau Lafayette. Both on the east side - but don't take the camper. Very few of the wineries have easy access with an RV.
Stay warm! Been unusually cold at night lately. We have reservations in Old Forge for mid-October. Might take the ski's
