Unless you are just truly adverse to traffic, just go straight thru Dallas. Even if you hit some heavy traffic, you will be in Ardmore set up at your site and enjoying yourself long before you would by taking an out of the way bypass route.
I live just north of Dallas and do drive thru it, sometimes even during rush hour. I hate traffic as much as the next person. But it has never made sense to me to go miles out of the way, on smaller highways, small towns, lower speed limits, traffic lights, and a lot of extra time to miss a few miles of traffic that you will be thru in a relatively short time.
