traveling through Dallas
We will be traveling from Houston to Ardmore, Oklahoma. Any suggestions on the best route through (or around) Dallas?

Just a slight modification: if I were at Greenville, TX I would go on up US 69 to intersect with US 82 then west to I-35. The area between Greenville and Denton through McKinney is becomming increasingly congested and there are many, many traffic signals. This used to be our usual route, but we have found that driving on up to US 82 is a much more pleasant experience.
