Thinking of staying at the lake mead Rv village since it is so close. Think we better get our rvs set up and just take our tow car because of all of the security. I really don't want my Rv inspected.
- knshookExplorerLake Mead is lower then we've ever seen; the drought is taking it's toll in some of the western states. While touring Lake Mead and Hoover Dam you will be able to see the new Mike O'Callighan-Pat Tillman arch suspension bridge. I believe it's the second highest bridge in the Western Hemisphere and the highest concrete arch suspension bridge. It's almost as amazing to see as the dam, but not quite. There is also a pedestrian walkway that allows you to walk across the bridge and it gives you another great view of the dam.
- concord_05ExplorerComing on 95. The only thing we wanted to do was see lake mead and the dam before traveling on to Flagstaff. I really appreciate all of the advice.
- dicknellenExplorer IIYou did not state what hwy you are coming in on. Might help on our answers. Dick
- sdianel_-acct_cExplorer610 (Lamb) or 612 (Nellis) are both good roads. Some traffic depending on time of day. We prefer 610 Lamb. Recently paved and seems wider and is the truck route.
We're at Nellis AFB now and are heading toward Flagstaff tomorrow. Going to try the 147 route to Boulder City. - concord_05ExplorerShould I exit on 573 e and then go down 612 s to 147 or take 15 s to the 147.
- missourijanExplorerX2 on what jmtandem said. We just spent the weekend there without the rv. The 215 is a good route around the city. It's not quite finished on the north end of the Las Vegas area but still is a 6 lane road with few traffic lights.

Exit 54...isn't that a Petro truck stop? We use it also...much better than Pilot/Flying J down the road.
