Trip ideas Florida to Michigan

We Will be headed back to Michigan the day after Easter from Ellington Florida and will have 1 week. Looking for some trip ideas such as places to stay things to see between Florida to Michigan rather than straight 75 north. We will have a 40ft fifth wheel and just me the wife And a lab no kids. We are both in our early 40's.
  • As far as places to stay try putting RVparky app into your phone and never be without a place to stay.
  • I can't help with campgrounds, because if we are in striking range of Cincinnati, we stay at the FMCA.

Have you been to the USAF Museum in Dayton? Plan at least 3 hours. Plenty of room to maneuver the rig in the lot. There are other Wright attractions, Houses and such.

If you red-road over to I-69 from there, there is the Cord, Auburn and Duesenburg Museum in Auburn. It shares a parking lot with the National Truck Museum.

We will be going south for an event in the spring and plan to stop at the "Gone with the Wind" Museum in Atlanta in spite of the terrible traffic. A museum of Civil War Ships in Columbus (GA) and a Medical Museum in Burmingham and maybe a few more.

  • The Best Holiday Trav-L-Park in Chattanooga boasts that `for the first time in your life, you will be sleep in a Civil War Battlefield'. They have a free video about the battle that supposedly turned the war. It's not a big deal but since you have to stay somewhere it might as well be here. Located just south of Chattanooga off I-75.
It's where we stay on the way DOWN to Florida.
  • We could always spend 2 or 3 days in the N Ga / Chattanooga area. Civil War history Aquarium +++.
Then NW to the Nashville area or NE to Smoky Mountains and the Blue Ridge Parkway
