Take route 160 west from Durango to Mesa Verde and spend the rest of the day there. We stayed the night at Mesa Verde RV Resort, about a mile from the park entrance. Continue west to Cortez then northwest on route 491 to join route 191 at Monticello Utah. Go north to Moab for Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Plan for two days there, one for each park. Continue north on 191 to I70 west to 191 again to Vernal Utah for Dinosaur National Monument. From there continue north on 191 all the way up to Jackson.
X2 on carry lots of water for each person. Low humidity means you don't realize you are sweating, so it's easy to get dehydrated. Also it will be hot in Utah in June. 90-100 is easily possible.
This idea is what I'd choose. Definitely don't go to Colorado Springs.
Also, with your big trip, I'd suggest cutting down Grand Canyon to 3 nights.
