Traveling to Gold Canyon (Apache Junction ) from Tucson, pulling a 5th wheel that need 13 ft clearance. The google maps route picks 77 - 79 - 60. Or I10 - 202 - 60. Interested in hearing those...

The 60 around Gold Canyon can get bad on weekends this time of the year because of the Renaissance Festival.
True, but the bad traffic is mostly on the opposite side of the road from OP's direction of travel and I10 is a high speed race track at most all times going north or south between Tucson and Sun Lakes.
