  • I would go from Phoenix up the 17 to Carefree highway to 93 to 40 to 93 to henderson.

The new bridge cuts time off a lot

    Take the new bridge!
    here is the bridge

  • Your choice. You can cross at Bullhead into Laughlin or go north on AZ side and cross at new bridge which is just south of Hoover dam. If you cross in Bullhead you only have a two lane road west for a few miles. Then it is four lanes north to Henderson. On AZ side believe it is two lanes all the way.
  • Yes if you take 93 out of Kingman you will go over the new bridge.
  • thanks guys for the imput,i think we will do i10,101 to hwy 93. i have one question, will we go over new bridge at hoover dam? sincerly, richard
  • No problem Sunday (thru PHX), and WyoTraveler is right about it being a toss-up the rest of the way!
  • Nice scenery on 93. I-40 through Kingman is old route 66. Really a toss up I-10 goes through Q and RV event. If you go I-10 I would go north on CA side, go over the old Needles bridge and continue north on AZ side. The old bridge was replaced with a newer bridge. Like previous post said both routes are good.
  • Both are good routes. I-10 and 101 can both be quite congested durring rush hours in the Phoenix metro area.
Before 7:00 AM or after 9:00 AM for the least traffic.
    Safe travels.
