TX Flooding
Well, next week, we are supposed to be leaving SW Towards The Grand Canyon. Of COURSE the flooding in TX is in between us. I am not finding any consistent info on the route 10 corridor. Anyone h...

Yes, I've commented on this before. I do think this is a good route and have taken it to East Texas a good many times.
However, I would not go on to DFW on I-20. I would turn up on US 69 (for one example) and go up to US 82 near Sherman, Texas, then follow US 82 to US 287 near Wichita Falls.
Another alternative would be to stay on I-10/I-12 to Layfayette, LA and then I-49 up to Shreveport then take I-20 as above.
There are good state parks at Mandeville (Fontainbleau) and at Madisonville (Fairview/Riverside), just a few miles further. A small private park also at Nacitoches (Nackatosh)--all these in Louisiana.
