Trailer flooded

The water may have been connected to the blank tank flush port. No way of knowing from here. Call your insurance company, it may be totaled already.

Very serious issue. Don’t let your landlord touch your TT again. Probably totaled. If your insurance won’t cover it, sue the landlord. Another story confirming why I don’t hookup to city water. Fill the tank, use the pump.

Hopefully you have turned off the city water source. Is your fresh water tank full? We don't know what kind of trailer or hookups you have. Is your fresh tank a separate gravity fill, or does it fill from the city water source, by using a bypass? A little more info would be helpful.

I would just use the tank and pump, till you get it figured out. If you have a leak somewhere, you will notice the pump run a little, when the water faucets are turned off.

If water supply got connected to black tank flush connection then tank would have filled and backed up thru toilet, leaked from anti-siphon device under bathroom sink (flooding bathroom etc) OR backed up so much it came out of the roof vent...raining water down from top of TT

Sounds like a hand-tightened fitting is leaking!!

Water is an RV KILLER. Investigate/Locate the source.....open cabinets, storage compartments. FIND the leak and then notify DEALER of problem..

You are not giving enough information.
You say he hooked it up to city water. there are two water inlets. One is for the fresh water tank and the other is your normal city water inlet which supplies city water pressure directly to your piping system.
In order for your fresh water tank to run, you must have the pump switch turned on
If your carpet is soaking wet you either have a broken pipe someplace, your toilet overflowed, or one someone let a sink overflow.
If your fresh water tank over flowed it would go out the overflow and onto the ground . It wouldn't get on your carpet.
If the water situation is real bad, then the insulation under your floor must be wet too, and that can lead to a bad mold problem.
You should call a mobile repair service if there is no one else that can help you

Turn off the water supply if you haven't already done so. Look for leaks in the water lines inside cabinets. I don't think it's the fresh tank, because if a check valve in the pump failed and was filling the tank, the overflow should come out the vent at the fill port (on side of trailer). Other folks may have additional ideas.

BTW, the tubing used for water lines in TTs cannot handle water pressure from many municipalities, and a pressure regulator is always advised on the hose.

Yes, it has been pouring rain all day and the camper is only flooded in the slide out. I called the dealer. They said it might be the slide seals, but there is nothing they can do until Monday. I hope my floors aren't ruined under the carpet!

Would it help if I use a wet vac to dry to dry the carpet?

Yes, you need to get rid of as much water as possible! You should have mentioned the pouring rain in first post. :) It is likely a leak from slide seals, or a window. You may get wet, but someone needs to find the leak, and correct it before Monday, if the rain continues.

The carpet and pad should be removed, if soaking wet, or the floor underneath will be ruined.

Is your trailer parked level? If the slide is sloped toward the camper, rather than away from it, could be the problem. Sounds like you could really use a helper!

If you suspect slide I'd get the opposing side of trailer higher.....promptly.

I'd tell them to bring a big truck....and haul that POS back to their lot.
