TX-6 is a good two lane road for most of the distance. Some short 4 lane sections. Good shoulders much of the distance.
Almost all the TX state numbered highways and federal highways are good for towing. West of I-35 towns are spread out and won’t slow you down much.
Speed limits as high as 75 are not uncommon on Texas 2-lane highways.
