U.S. credit cards in Canada
My understanding is that Canada is now using credit card readers that read "chipped" credit cards. Can we still use our U.S. credit cards with the magnetic strip?

How did you determine there was no fee. It is my understanding that all Visas charge this fee. You know that the fee doesn't show as a separate item, it is just an adjustment made to the rate used.
I called the company that issued the card before we traveled through Canada and was told there was no fee for using the card outside the US. When I receive my bill it showed a favorable exchange rate and no fees.
